How to decide what you want to do

Deciding what you want to do is huge! But only decision that you are harmonized with is a good decision made. Deciding you are going to do something, and then thinking that you should not do that, is a wrong decision. You must stick to your decisions and make the final ones. Now you might be thinking, how to make a right decision? It is very simple, but not easy. It takes time! How much of the time you have? You should have all the time in the world to make those decisions and work on them, because hey, your future self will thank you for. Find that time to figure that out.

It is about researching, asking yourself deep questions, trying new stuff, and sticking to the final decisions.

I”ve been offered to join some Multi-level marketing company. And we”ve been through 4 interview steps now. The first two steps I thought to myself: “I can do that!” But as time was passing by, and I was researching more about that company, and the business model itself, I asked myself deep questions, and I realized that this is not what I truly want. I want to be a leader, not a follower. I want to build something on my own, from scratch.

A life path

TRY DIFFERENT THINGS

I lost so much money, because I needed to try something new. And I needed to find my place under the sun. The only way to find a place where you belong, is to look for that place, go places that you never before explored. Immerse yourself in the new and unknown. Life begins outside of your comfort zone. Invest in courses, invest in yourself, actually pay for that.

VISUALIZE

Visualize where you really want to be, what to do, and what to have. If you can be anything you want, what would that be? What would you try to pursue if you cannot fail? These are the questions that you need to ask yourself on a daily basis. What do I really, really want, and how do I go and get it? Again, your future self will thank you for.

RESEARCH

Research like your life depends on it. We are living in such amazing times, when everything is served for us on a silver plate with one click of the button. Things are now easier than ever, the only problem is that we get distracted easily. There is so much going on in the world right now. And these are the best times to look within yourself more than ever, find yourself again, and decide what you want to do really.

ASK YOURSELF DEEP QUESTIONS

Do I wanna be a leader or a follower? Am I hiring people? How many of them? What is my dream profession? Who do I work for? Am I working from home or do I commute to work? Who is my partner? How many kids do I have? Where do we go for vacation? How often do I visit my family? How do we spend our quality times together? You get the point.

Here is my Youtube video that I made on the same topic. As I already said, it takes some time to finally decide about what do you really want, but we need to work for that, we need to put the time and effort in it. Watch the video here:

AS IDEAS COME UP TO YOUR MIND WHILE THINKING WHAT YOU WANT, WRITE THEM DOWN TO YOUR TO-DO LIST

To decide that you need to decide what you want to do with your life, is also a decision, and you are well on your way to make that happen. As you start to think what you really want to do, ideas will pop-up in you mind. The first thing that you should do is write them down. Have always a notebook and a pen in a room that you spend most of your time, or your home office, and write them down. Once you get the chance, you need to follow through, you need to work on that ideas, otherwise, nothing is going to happen, and ideas will go to waste.

WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU ARE MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT

Do you ever felt like time stopped while you were working on something, you forgot to eat, or you loosed the sense of reality? This is what happens when you are fully into the things that you are most passionate about.

Maybe it is writing for you, selling things online, gardening or a teaching? Whatever it is, it is yours. If you truly love that, you definitely should do more of that.

Just do it

WHAT DO YOU NOT LIKE TO DO

For example, I don”t like to work for somebody else, 9 to 5. That is truly boring for me, unfulfilling, and I feel like I am wasting my precious time. It feels like dying, not growing. What would be opposite of that? It is working for somebody else? It would be an entrepreneurship. I”ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but only now is the truly time to pursue that entrepreneurship.

HOW HARD ARE YOU WILLING TO WORK TO GET WHAT YOU WANT?

People are often times dabblers, they are not fully engaged in what they do, and so, they never get things done. They are indecisive, they cannot commit, and they basically live like the dogs (no offense). Whatever do they find on the floor, they would eat, and they can chase the ball for an hours.

You and me should find out what we want and then go for that fully. Fully immerse ourselves in what we do and make the most out of ourselves and our lives.

I really hope this helps you realize what you really want to do for the rest of your life. It can be very scary, I know, but take full ownership of your life, and actually do the things that will take your life to the next level.

How To Be Great Conversationalist

I used to be very, very shy. I only opened my mouth surrounded by family and closest friends, strangers never heard my voice. Until the day I decided to be a great conversationalist and communicator. I was doing every possible thing to push myself, to face my fears anyway, and guess what, it feels amazing. It feels amazing to connect with other human being, because we can learn so much from each other. Only if you truly listen, not just hearing them.

First things first, you need to be clear on why you wanna be a great conversationalist. Why am I asking you to do that, is because if you don”t know your why, you are not going to follow through. You must be clear on why. If you, and me, are having strong enough reasons why we do the things we do, only then we are going to be able to finish that, until the goal is completed.

I think for me, what I learned so far, is that you must love people. You must love humanity, the differences in every individual, black or white, Muslim or Christian, all the people on this planet earth, because hey, the beauty is in the difference.

You need to want to connect with other human being deeply. I think there is not more satisfying thing than to connect with someone and talk about the meaningful stuff. You can learn so much from others, but only if you truly and genuinely listen.

It is about asking people questions. Be sincerely interested about them, that is exactly how they are going to see you, as a great conversationalist, because you are, you are genuinely interested what people has to say.

Here are my couple of points how to be great at this:

1. Ask open questions

2. Look people in the eyes

3. Truly listen

4. Have open body language

5. Be confident in yourself

5. Talk very clear and understandable

6. Your voice should sound confident

These are my points. And as I already said. I made myself to the point where I can talk with just anyone and have an amazing time with them.

Now I am going to be sharing the points that I heard from one Youtube video. Tips from the woman who”s profession is to talk with other people. Here is her amazing Ted Talk. Open up, and start learning an amazing stuff from her.

ACTUALLY LISTEN

BE GENUINE

Genuine people are trustworthy.

People gravitate toward those who are genuine because they know they can trust them. It is difficult to like someone when you don’t know who they really are and how they really feel. Genuine people mean what they say, and if they make a commitment, they keep it.

BE COMPLIMENTARY

Give them genuine compliment. You can say something; “You look stunning today.” or “I like your sweater.” People love to be complimented. They are dying to be noticed, to be complimented by someone.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

Practice entering conversations anytime, anywhere and you should become great at it.

KNOW HOW TO START CONVERSATION

People want to talk, but not everybody has a good approach. For example, I have a neighbour that is always approaching me when he sees me outside. I don”t wanna always be approached by someone. Do you? People don”t know how to give a space to someone. And the worst thing, he doesn”t even say “Hello!” or “How are you?”. He immediately jumps on the conversation, and that is usually about another people. I don”t wanna listen this stuff! The truth of a matter is, I don”t really care what someone did or did not do. Do you?

A father and a child spending quality time together.

KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING

GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD

People might listen, but they are in their head constantly, thinking about what is going to be the next thing that they must say, and then, they are interrupting people. You and me are not going to be one of them. We are going to lose our minds and give full attention to the person we talk to. We are going to be focused on their sensations while they deliver the message. Their body language, face expressions and so on.

PAY ATTENTION

Only if you pay attention you can respond accordingly, and connect with the person that you talk to.

HAVE OPINIONS

Everyone has opinions about something, just not everyone are expressing them. Say them out loud, but don”t try to make another person convince in yours. People like to hear other peoples point of view.

BALANCE

Balance in all life segments is so crucial, flow of the conversations are one of them.

DON”T MULTITASK

People often times have a conversations while ordering a food in the restaurant. Excuse yourself and let them know that you need a time to choose the food that you want to eat. They would appreciate that, and give you some space. After you place the order, dive right into the conversation again.

DON”T PONTIFICATE

Expressing your opinions in a pompous and dogmatic way is not nice. You are not always right.

USE OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS

You can ask something like: “What is your plan for the weekend?” “What are you having for your lunch today?” or “How that made you feel?” There are the countless of open ended questions that you can ask throughout the conversation, that will keep the conversation up and running, and in the flow.

EVERYONE YOU WILL EVER MEET KNOW”S SOMETHING THAT YOU DON”T

This is the easiest, simplest, quickest, and free way of learning something new, by having an actual conversations with people.

GO WITH THE FLOW

If the person that you talk to is jumping to the different points and views, go with the flow of that. If you remember something that you can add up, say it, they would appreciate that, and that is what will keep conversations in the flow.

IF YOU DON”T KNOW SAY THAT YOU DON”T KNOW

People often times wanna go into the conversations just because they wanna boost their ego and feel inferior, making them look like they are right, but that is not what we want here. If you wanna be great conversationalist, you must be honest and say clearly that you don”t know much about this topic, and that will build a trust in another person, person that you talk to.

BE PREPARED TO BE AMAZED

People are beautiful creatures. We can learn so much from each other. So be prepared to be amazed.

Now it”s your turn you guys. Do you like to have a conversations? Do you feel comfortable while interacting with other people, and what kind of conversations you like to have?

Tell us in a comments, so we can have a conversation up and running. 🙂

Working Hard

What does it mean for you working hard? Do you ever had a feeling of tiredness, but at the same time it seems you didn”t much accomplished? So, staying until late night does not mean you are doing something meaningful.

For example, being at office, does not mean you are doing sales calls, you might scroll Facebook or update software. Do you see the difference?

The most valuable question you can ask yourself is: “What is the most valuable use of my time right now?” By questioning that to yourself, you will naturally draw yourself to the things that really matter.

Hard working hands

I remember a times when I worked in our family business. Those were times when I was working more that 12 hours, but I loved it, and it was our family business. Everybody would contribute that much, if they really care, but the question is, where will that get you. Do you taking proper care about yourself as well. I didn”t! That”s why I had a painful back. Was killing me.

One day I said STOP to everything, because I had to take better care of myself. I stopped working so hard. I focused on myself, my health, wellbeing and everything, and eventually I changed country of living, and thus far that is my best decision ever. I grew as a person.

I still wonder what does it mean to work hard, because let”s face it, people all over the world are waking up. They see potential in themselves and others, and they are trying to pursue their dreams. I am one of them. I try to be specific about my goals and everyday do something about it. I tried to fill myself with coffees, cut off my sleep, but it didn”t work, I felt so tired. Our body and cells needs rest.

If you keep asking yourself question why is that, why is that, why is that, eventually you will come up with answer. I still wonder what is the best use of my time. Should I go out with this friend, or better stay at home and work on my business. If I go out, I might be bored, but most importantly I might meet somebody new. What should I do?

Working hard doesn”t always mean being effective. We should be able to take a break, to sit back and relax. I was told just recently on my job how I am a “layd back”person. I took that as a compliment, because there are very rare people who are able to stay calm in a midst of busy times. I just don”t see anymore why we should freak out about the jobs that we are doing. Everything will solve out, eventually.

Now, your turn! What does it mean to work hard for you? How many hours do you put in your business? Maybe I just need to ask myself question more frequently: “What is the most valuable use of your time Maja right now?” And that will give me clarity, put me away of endless scrolling my Instagram and Facebook feed, and focus on the things that really matter.

How do you managing your time? What does it really mean for you to work hard? Do you feel tired and overwhelmed working hard? Do you feel like on a good track working hard? Do you feel like you wanna be some place else working hard or you have that sense or rightness?
