The power of focus

Focus is huge. How many times you were completely focused on something? You were so interested in the listening to conversation, for example, that you couldn”t hear somebody outside calling you?

I know my sister was often numb, if I can say this way. We were calling her for a minutes, but she always had that look, like she is busy in thinking something else, contemplating, she had always had that imaginary look.

In this video below, I talk about all the things that I could remember about being focused. I really hope you will like it, and that is going to be of great value to you.

I will never forget a Jim Rohn saying in one of the videos on Youtube. When he was with his kids, he was thinking office. Being in the office, he thought of being with his kids instead.

Do you see how this habit is broken, not good? You are going to be always in lack. You will never actually experience all that you are working on, or experience in the full.

Book atomic habits is huge. We are sum of the habits that we were doing for the years, but that can be changed. What would you like to change in your every day life? Tell us honestly!

Many people lack in direction, that is why they never reach their goal, or most importantly, they are never really focused. Confusion and indecisiveness is a problem in them. They often only wonder, never taking any massive action.

I don”t know have you heard about the Tony Robbins. Most probably you did, reading this Personal Development blog. He promotes a massive action, he is a massive action freak. We need to take massive action towards the things that we want.

Where your focus goes energy flows.

I don’t know about you, but I often times think in term, how there is an Africa out there, people living in poverty, even though I cannot see it with my naked eye.

It is not in my focus, but there also in another country is my mom and dad, now sitting on a terrace and enjoying their coffee. Isn”t that amazing?! Things and people are happening anyway, despite of we see them or not.

Your focus and attention now determines how you are going to live in the future.

2 people walking along are going to influence one another. The only question is, which one of them is going to be more dominant.

If you are one who is more dominant, your walking partner will have all his or her attention on you, and what you have to say, their all focus will be on you.

You be that dominant person at put all your attention on the good that you do.

People, circumstances, and life in general shaped us for who we are now.

What or who you wanna become in the future? Decide today, and put all your focus on that. Study it, be in it, learn it, try it, and you shall become. It is the law!

Focus on the good within people, and they will feel that. I had so many people challenges. Working with very fat people, slumpy people, stupid people, but instead, I chose to focus on the good in them. And guess what, we had amazing relationship all along. We were amazing teams!

You can see also the power of focus by focusing only on the red color around you.

Do this exercise now: Look around yourself and look for the red, only look for the red color. How many objects that you see are red?

Now tell me what are the yellow that you saw? The chance is, that you didn’t saw any yellow. Why? Because you were looking only for red. And you get what you focus on.

Take care of your body

You must sleep 7 to 9 hours a day to be able to be fully focused on what you do. Your mind has to be sharp, and you cannot do that, if you didn’t have enough sleep. It is that simple!

Go to bed at the same time each evening. For example, I go to bed every night at 9 pm. I first read 30 minutes, and then I am ready to sleep. If I cannot fall asleep in 15 minutes time, I would take a book again, and read for another 30 minutes. 15 minutes rest again, and trying to fall asleep again, and so on.

It works for me. I hope it will work for you too.

The only goal is to be well restful. You can also do the thing like “power nap” in the afternoon. I do that as well. But I meditate. And it is like a reset, it’s like you are starting fresh.

One more thing that you can do, is putting your phone behind the laptop screen while you working. It does miracles to me. You don”t have a temptation to check the notifications, but to be fully focused on what you do.

Out of your sight, out of your mind.

You only check your phone if you hear actual notification. Even more, you can turn off all your sounds, and not check your phone at all until the work is done.

Focus can bring you so far. What do you want? What do you really, really want?

Focus is a skill that can be learned overtime. You only need to put the time and effort in it. Work on it every day.

I like to focus myself on what I do lately so often. For example, if I sat down 2 hours for writing, I am not going to go to check my hair 😀 (I know :D), or I am not going to respond to that received message if it”s not important.

How To Be Good With Money

Success seek for good place to stay. Money seek for good place to stay. Your dream partner seek for good place to stay. You need to be good place to stay for all of that. Everything in life is connected. Money is not going to stick with you if you are not a good master. You need to become good money master in order to have more of the money. Money will stick to you like a glue. Are you a good money master? Where are you with your finances?

You need to love money. You need to have positive expectations about the money. When you read about the money what goes through your mind? Is it that you think how money is hard to earn or is it that you think how money is a beautiful tool to make your life easier to you and people around you?

Money is not going to stick to you if you have a bad opinions about money. It is going to go through your hands so quickly that you even never going to have it.

What are your spending habits? Where do you spend your money the most? Is it something that gives a value to your life, or is it something that you are going to play with for 3 days and put somewhere to collect the dust after your purchases? You need to know where your money goes. You need to know your Ins and Outs. How much do you get every month?

Money should not be your priority but it is a good way to start. Money IS important. Money can buy you happiness. If you don”t believe in that, you don”t know where to shop. haha Money can buy you health, freedom and comfort. There is nothing on this planet for free, and so, you need to have money to pay for all of that.

I loved the books of a Robert Kiyosaki . There are the Audio Books on Youtube that you can listen for an hours and for free. One of the books that I was listening and loved it, is this:

In order to be financially free you need to know money rules.

Some of the money rules are:

  1. The more you learn-the more you earn. You need to increase your financial IQ. You need to learn how money works. You need to learn how to acquire money, how to keep it, spend wisely and then invest back to get more of back. Money loves to be moved. Money loves to be spend. It depends whether you are investing in something that can bring you back money or in something that will just collect the dust on your shelf. Think about where you spend most of your money and really look does that bring you money back.
  2. Pay yourself first. Every time you get some money, you need to put on a side for yourself first. You need to save some portion of your income. The minimum should be 10%. Everybody can save 10% of the money they are getting. No matter amount, everybody can. That is paying yourself first. You need to cherish yourself and save for an emergencies. It will bring you joy, freedom and happiness. Knowing that you have money on bank account will bring you peace and trust. What matters more? The question is, how disciplined can you be. Don”t underestimate putting on a side 5 dollars. That is in month 20 dollars, in a year 280. In 5 years 1.400. That is the power of compounding. It will become bigger and larger after time. That is also called the snow ball effect.
  3. You must live below your means. Look around you and you will see a people going to malls, buying online all sorts of things, that they are going to abandon. How smart is that? Not at all! They are the people that they must have that trendy item. But buying these trendy items for a years, you are not going to end nowhere, just stuck with a hill of worthless stuff.
  4.  Budget, budget, budget. You need to know how much you are coming in and how much is going out. I cannot stress that enough. That helped me soo much. You need to know what are your expenses, where your money goes. In order to solve the problem, you need to know what problem is. Detect where your money goes and reduce the expenses to those that you can live without. For example, I have a notebook where I write a date, the amount that I spent and what did I bought. This helps me soo much to see where my money goes. This is so crucial.
  5. Always, but always pay with the cash. Why? Because money is tangible, cards are not. You having notes in your wallet, you will be more careful on what are you spending your money in, and you

Are you one of those that always struggle with money? Why is that? Ask yourself! I will never forget book that I read, it is called Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. A mother comes to the son and tells him how she is a millionaire. Imagine your own mother is telling you she is a millionaire, how crazy is that? She lived beyond her means. She wasn”t going to the malls and buying stuff that she is gonna play with 3 days and then abandon. She is happy! She feels secure, safe, and she took all the possible responsibility for her life, and the lives of her family. Imagine a life of stress free money! It is possible.

Make today a plan. Make a plan and stick to it. Decide to save at least 10% of your income every time. After some time, you will be proud of yourself, seeing saved money on your bank account.

Act like money is important. People are too much ignorant to everything. Don”t ignore things that are happening in your life, face them. We all witness to something called Corona virus now. What are the chances that you was prepared? Nobody ever dreamed of something like that is going to happen. You see now how important it is to have some backup? Promise me now that you are going to be ready next time you have some challenge, because hey, what matters more than being happy, safe and free? Nothing!

How To Be Happy Everyday

It is very easy to be happy everyday. You don”t believe me? Continue to read. Many people think that life is very hard. They talk about it, and so they act according to their believes. But what if I say to you, that whatever is happening right now, or whatever will happen to you, you can look at this on a bright side of it.

You might be single now, but very sad, because you wanna share your emotions and spend some time with the partner, but what if I tell you that your true love you want is still not ready to come to you, enter your life. In this case, you will want to wait for him or her. Right? You wanna wait for that special someone. You know you deserve it. And so, you will do whatever it takes to enjoy your time before his or her arrival.

Everything in life is how we look at things. Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change. This is what once Dr.Wayne Dyer said, and I truly believe in it.

You need to look after yourself if you truly wanna be happy in every aspect. Big role here plays your mindset, I covered it above, you need to look differently at the things. But there is more, your physical health, and what you consume every day. Remember that all is connected and that you need to make a balance in your life in order to everything work properly. Work on every aspect of your life and happiness is guaranteed in your life.

Also, how bad do you want it? If you don”t want it bad enough, check maybe you have some excuses. Are you excusing yourself or do you like to complain often? I will tell you the ugly truth now. If you complain about something, you are the prisoner of that something. Do some research, your future self will thank you for, and have a look how others did that shift, how others went from broke to riches, how others been bald, now they have a head full of hair. There is no such thing as something for nothing. You need to put a time and effort in everything.

What helps me, is to do the gratitude journal. I like to put the date and time every time I”m doing this, so I can know my progress. And I try to put everyday 5 different gratitudes. Are you aware of that there are the people who are blind and they don”t see this beautiful fall nature colors? Do you know that someone is out there that they have a terrible hair fall and they are afraid of being bald? Maybe that sounds funny to you now, but counting your blessings will put you in that state of excitement, peacefulness and happiness.

One more exercise that I love so much is asking myself all the time: “What would do now person who is truly happy?” How do they live everyday life? How do they care of themselves? What do they eat, how often and at what time? How do they spend their free time? Where do they go? Who are they friends? I believe now you get the point. When you get the question about what they do, start doing it yourself. Easy, just DECIDE to do whatever it takes to be happy, because if you are waiting for that something or somebody, you might wait forever. Always remember that there is somebody who pray to be at the place where are you now. There is somebody without the cosy chair that you can sit on, and that they don”t have access to all the information in the world called Internet.

If you are into improving yourself, your life, you might be heard of how we should work hard, cut off our sleep, get up early, but how healthy is that? I am the living proof, I looked, and I was feeling terrible. What is the point of trying to achieve all your goals if you feel exhausted, you are sick. So, slow down and work on your goals one step at a time, taking care of yourself, your family and friends all at the same time. Life balance, they key is balancing all the life aspects. Don not exaggerate in any of the area, and always give best of yourself at everything you do.

Also, people don’t know how to be fully present, they don’t know how to be mindful. Are you really present when with your children? Are you really present when spending your time with the partner? People that are in the office often time thinks that they should be at home, with their kids and spouse. How effective is that? Not at all! Being at one place thinking how you should be on another is not a way of smart living. Be fully present with whatever you do. That is the secret. Give best of yourself at every situation. Live life of no regrets.

So, what is happiness for you? You need to be clear what that means for you. Because somebody is happy staying at home and taking care of hes or her children, while career person cannot imagine staying at home and doing all the household stuff, instead person is passionate about building career.

I suggest you to take a piece of paper and write down all the things that makes you happy, and do it, no matter what they say. Is this keeping life balance between career and family life? Is it having time for yourself? Are you one of those who wanna stay at home with the cats? There is no wrong answer, because it is answer. You answer it!

How To Shift Your Paradigm

Take an honest look at your life. We tend to lie ourselves. Are you really living how you wanna live? Do you like what you see? Are you behaving how you wanna behave? Do you like who you are?

Paradigms are generally defined as a framework that has unwritten rules and that directs actions. A paradigm shift occurs when one paradigm loses its influence and another takes over. The concept defines paradigm and paradigm shift and explains how it can relate to company strategies and industry cycles. Paradigms are set of ideas that we have around everything. It is the way how we eat, sleep, work, study, read, having fun, do the household things. Good news is, paradigms can be changed, you just need to realize what didn”t serve you, and let go of the way that you was doing, and implement some new and productive strategies.

It is the way how you think, how you talk, how you breathe, how you walk.. You are programmed to earn that amount of money. You are programmed to date this kind of man/woman. You are programmed to do this kind of work. You don”t know for any better or different. Realize that now, know it is possible, you deserve it, and take daily baby step actions towards this better goals.

Our environments are also programming us. Your parents programmed you. What are the cases that you are living same or a similar life now as your parents used to live. How you can change that? Think how would it be like if you had a parents that were nice, happy, caring, full of trust.

Here is exercise that I highly recommend:

Step One: Write down one thing – that goal, that dream, that challenge that you have not yet resolved in your life. The subconscious mind thrives on detail, so describe it to yourself as vividly as you can.
Step Two: Write down every association that you connect to this thing: everything you think about it, good and bad, everything that the thought of it brings to your mind.
One approach I have found extremely effective is to “map” it in much the same way writers come up with plot concepts. Draw a circle around the words or sentence you came up with in Step One. Then, in the space around that circle, write down your associations as they come to you, encircling each one and connecting it with a line to the original encircled goal. When you feel like you’ve come up with a substantial number of associations, take a good look at what your mind has shown you. You’re looking at your paradigms.
Step Three: It’s time to address your paradigms and ask “why?” I suggest that you zero in on a few of the most powerful paradigms, the ones that have the biggest negative impact. Ask yourself, “Why do I think this? Where does it come from? Where did I get such an idea?” Keep on digging until you’ve exhausted every possible scenario. And finally, now that you know what your paradigm is on any given topic, create an affirmation that will assist you in re-programming your mind, something that is the opposite of your paradigm. For example, if your paradigm is you’ll never earn a lot of money, your affirmation might be: I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me on a continual basis through multiple sources. I am a magnet to money; I now have all that I want. Write your affirmation on a 3×5 card and repeat it daily, as many times as possible. In time, you’ll begin to notice yourself thinking and acting in a different way. And, just when you think you’ve got it, it will be time to work on another paradigm!

A paradigm is a standard, perspective, or set of ideas. A paradigm is a way of looking at something. The word paradigm comes up a lot in the academic, scientific, and business worlds. A new paradigm in business could mean a new way of reaching customers and making money.

So, the new way. What are the old ways of something that you was doing and you know it didn”t or doesn”t serve you? Try different approach to something. Do the different way combing your hair. Instead of going to the kitchen and making yourself some coffee upon waking up, you can read a book after having some big glass of lemonade and then having coffee along with your breakfast. That is just one of the examples.

Tell me in the comments below what you can do differently today or tomorrow, at your job, next job interview or a family gathering? What you can do differently in order to get some better and new results?

Life is not just a set of same old actions, people or destinations. Dare to do some things differently today and see how easy and exciting is to get some new and better results.

Do the exercise today as well about shifting your paradigm. In this exercise you will realize how same old actions led you to get same old results. You need to channge something in order something to be changed.

Smart and wise old man Einstein once said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”

As I said, everything is easy, but only if you are aware of the things that doesn”t serve you. Life is a set uf the ups and downs, and nothing is wrong with that, you just need to realize what led you down and change it. There is no such thing as something for nothing. You need to work for it.

First thing is this exercise above that I mentioned. It is very easy, but you need to be honest with yourself.

Fearless Living

Either, we are living in comfort zone, or we are not, we are pushing ourselves forward. What do you think? Where majority of the people live? Of course, you would say, we are living in our comfort zone. We eat same foods every day, we go to school and job same route, we hang around with same people every day, we wear same clothes, brush our hair same way, use same make up strategies. No wonder our life ends up the same way, nothing changes.

In order to change that, imagine yourself doing same things every day. You cut yourself of to know somebody more interesting, you cut yourself of new hair style that would fit you better, you cut yourself of knowing how this new route to your job is much easier and quicker to go to.

Commit yourself today to do the something different, to implement something different in your everyday routine. You can do such things as go to the park on your day off, not bringing your phone with you, just inhaling oxygen, reminding yourself how important it is to connect to mother nature again. Go to shop and buy a pair of trousers that you would never do. Go to shop and buy yourself a gift, gift for trying make things happen.

You are not a laboratory rat. You”re a human being. You can master your fears. But first you have to know them. What are you fearful? What are your most fearful thoughts? Come on! Be aware of that. And go for it feeling full fearful, and notice what will happen, nothing, fear will disappear, and you will come to realization that this were just your thoughts.

I will tell you now how fearful I was being before my Bungee-Jumping. I knew I wanted to do that, and it”s fun, feels amazing. I woke up that day excited, I couldn”t believe I was going to do that, but as time was getting closer I was getting more nervous. The moment when I was standing on the edge of the biggest bridge in Croatia, I would never forget. I felt tremendous fear. My heart was racing like crazy, I thought I would die. It took me more that 5 min to jump over the bridge.

The interesting thing happen the moment I jumped, I felt total bliss, I was flying. They wouldn”t do such thing if it”s dangerous and lots of people died, right? So, everything that is happening you created in your own head. Since that day nothing else was the same. I completely changed when it comes to fear. I am feeling fear every day of course, like everyone else, but I am going for it anyway. And guess what, feels amazing, my confidence grew tremendously.

I wrote a Blog Post about Feeling the fear and doing it anyway. It is here if you wanna read. I also recommend great great book by Susan Jeffers called: “Feel the fear and do it anyway” that I loved so so much. You can check out book here.

No direction is wrong, just pick the one and go for it full hearted.

Lets imagine you faced some fear and you stayed alive. Nothing happened, except you grew as a person. Now you are on your Wheel of Freedom. You feel free, happy, satisfied, confident, you feel like the world is yours. That”s how people feel when they face their fears. So, you are on your wheel of freedom, you are not trying to prove yourself to anyone, you are not trying to prove anything. You are not trying to hide, to save your face, put up a facade, not trying to get caught, not trying to cover up. You are simply being you. When you are on your Wheel of Freedom, the whole world is better for it, and you feel free.

I love to read books like this. It gets you thinking what fear does to ourselves, to our lives, what is life all about, and why we should face our fears. It is fascinating. Fearless Living is the book that I read, by Rhonda Britten, and got me inspired to write about the fears again. I loved the book, if you would like to read and check out the same, you can do it so here.

The beauty of Fearless Living is that as you master your own fear, you”ll be in a better position to look after the people you care about when they”re the ones who need help. And you won”t lose your own sense of self as you reach out to them.

But first, if you need some sort of help, ask the right people, find the one who already living the way you wanted to. Right people at the right time helps you summon the courage to show more of who you are to the world. Yet when the most of us attempt to connect with people, both those who are already important to us and those we”re hoping to get to know – we avoid truly revealing ourselves.

I hope I inspired you to take action. Face those things that bother you and set yourself free. Life will never be the same.
