It”s a great great lesson when you face the fear. It teaches you a lot what it feels like to be fearfull. Here is what great Will Smith talks about fear and Skydiving, I love this guy and that clip, enjoy;
It”s amazing what happens the moment when you face the fear. Disappears! I can tell you first hand. Here is my picture of me the day when I jumped out of most biggest Maslenica bridge in Croatia.
I will never forget that day. I celebrated life after that. I felt so proud of myself. That fear that I felt that day is something huge, I screamed, I yelled, It was so scary to stood at the edge of bridge and to look down. It”s a not a small thing. Not everybody can do that.
Ok, let”s jump on a book review;
Book is amazing. It opens your eyes. You realizing how fearfull or fearless you are. You know the quote; “Life begins outside your comfort zone.”
I have read this book for three times. It was hard to read first two, because I wasn”t ready, and now that I read third time, I highlighted some sentences because I could resonate with them, finally; “When the student is ready the teacher will appear.”
Susan Jeffers in Feel the fear and do it anyway book talks more than just a fear;
- you will learn how to connect with the powerhouse within
- how to make your dreams become a reality
- how to say “yes” to all circumstances in your life
AT THE BOTTOM OF EVERY ONE OF YOUR FEARS IS SIMPLY THE FEAR THAT YOU CAN”T HANDLE WHATEVER LIFE MAY BRING YOU.
Do you realize that? You may not trust yourself.
But that can be changed. If you really get into that, and try to find out what and why is stopping you.
You maybe grew up with parents who was too cautious with you. I know, I had a mother who use to say; “Let me, I will do that! Like she will be faster, quicker. I could just dirty my hands, or make I mess, and that”s it. No big deal! But she had to take control, and I”m not blaming anyone here now. That how children loose their confidence, and today, in 21th century is crucial to be confident. We all have to survive.
You can handle it!
You can! You can handle whatever comes your way. Believe in yourself. For your own good, first of all. You might think how celebrities don”t have a fears. You are wrong! They felt tremendous fear along the way, they”ve been challenged many times, they are still going through some challenges, every day. That”s why they are celebrities. They felt fear expose themself, but they did it anyways.
I remember myself when I liked one guy. Soo much! For about 6 months. We were working at the same place. That wasn”t long time ago. I felt like I am tiny comparing to him, he was sooo good looking. And I thought to myself; “He is too good to be with you.”
Despite of that I reacted because I felt some sparks between us, and I took the ACTION, I gave him on a piece of paper my number. I felt so proud of myself after all. I would do the same thing again and again.
Today, I don”t need that call, I did that because of myself, and I”m glad that I did. I am so good at this, facing my fears, I challenged myself, and I survived. Susan Jeffers in this book Feel the fear and do it anyway says; A self-assured men who is in control of his life draws like a magnet.”
Affirmations always help. Repeat yourself everyday over and over again;
I AM POWERFUL AND I AM LOVED
I AM POWERFUL AND i AM LOVING
An energizing variation is:
I AM POWERFUL AND I LOVE IT!
How does that feel, reading these words? You felt hope and inspiration, I believe. Affirmations are that powerful. Repeat them aloud or quietly every day to yourself and you will see the difference. You will be inspired, and that will give you courage to move forward. It”s amazing when you compete with yourself. That is the hardest work but most rewarding. Celebrate that Victory!
Susan in this book also talk about defining where you wanna be in future and what exactly do you want out of life. We have to be precise of what we wanna do, with whom, and where. It is crucial to know our direction in life. That gives us motivation and confidence to act according to our dreams and aspirations. I knew what I wanna accomplish, that”s why I challenged myself. And it was worth it.
I will leave you now with these thoughts, and please do work on yourself, challenge yourself. I love the quote;
If it doesn”t challenge you, it won”t change you
